"The Planets Bend Between Us" (or "The Planets Bend Between Us (For You)") is a song from alternative rock band Snow Patrol's fifth album A Hundred Million Suns. It was released as the follow-up single to "If There's a Rocket Tie Me to It" on 24 May 2009.

 It was the fourth single taken from the album. The lyrics were written by Gary Lightbody and the music was composed by Snow Patrol. The song is about Lightbody's beach house in Belfast. The single featured a re-working of the album version and was released as a digital download only. It was later included on the band's 2009 compilation album Up to Now.

The song was received quite positively by music critics upon the album release, with one critic comparing it to "Chasing Cars". However, commercial reaction to the single was generally negative. The single was a commercial failure, failing to chart in every country barring the Tipparade Chart in the Netherlands.

Snow Patrol自認專輯版本比較壓抑憂鬱，因此為了發行成單曲而重新編製與錄音，也是他們首次為了諸多考量而特地將歌曲改頭換面。新的版本便是上面mv的背景曲，突然間那成為一首充滿希望與力量的歌，完全脫離我的想像（但並非以壞的方式）。

影片也設計得很有趣，所有場景都像是可以撕毀、裁切、置換與拼貼，無論走到什麼地方，例如某個陽光燦爛的街角，俯瞰城市的屋頂或是夕陽暈染的海灘，你都忍不住要迸射出心底按耐不住的愛意，整個星球都將與你大聲唱和。

為了某一個人，為了希望他能聽見。
