Neil Young’s Harvest Moon is just one those incredibly beautiful songs that captures the absolute essence of love. We get older, we go through some good relationships and some not so great. When things go bad many of us develop a guard and walk around with insecurities that limit and affect the way we experience love in the future.

But here’s a little secret, you get what you put in and if you meet someone new and you’re always worried about what happened in your past relationship then you’re going to create the same results. This song always reminds me to press the restart button if something didn’t work out. Of course it’s easier said then done but you can’t go around feeling nothing short of amazing in this life and if thinking about what happen in the past is going to prevent that then you gotta work hard to move on.

Anyways, Of Montreal did an acoustic cover of this song back in ’07 and I thought it was great. Poolside version bought it to the Space Age with an elegance and beauty that is truly noteworthy. This will be on heavy rotation for the rest of the day, enjoy.

「Harvest Moon」是Neil Young的歌曲，雖然此曲僅在英國單曲榜獲得第36名，整首曲子的編排再加上Neil Young高超的吉他演奏，宛如讓人置身在滿月之下，全身灑滿月光翩翩起舞。

Neil Young出生於1945年11月12日，為加拿大籍的歌手、作詞家與作曲家，一般公認其為當代最有影響力的音樂人之一。此曲收錄在Neil Young個人第25張專輯「Harvest Moon」之中，由於在其1972年專輯「Harvest」現聲的歌手，也在此張專輯現聲，因此這張「Harvest Moon」專輯被視為前作「Harvest」的非正式續篇。

而在這些現聲的著名歌手包括Linda Ronstadt和James Tayor，Neil Young自1990年發行「Ragged Glory」及隨後的巡迴演唱之後，便深受耳鳴之苦，待逐漸康復之後決定重返錄音室，回到Nashville之後，昔日同志紛紛前來助陣，Neil捨棄電吉他，返璞歸真採用木吉他、鋼琴與班卓琴作為整張專輯的主要樂器，此張專輯於1994年獲得Juno Award（加拿大的音樂獎項）的年度專輯；在1992年Billboard專輯榜獲得第16名。 在1997年7月16日被認證為雙白金唱片。
