Passion Pit is an American indie rock band from Cambridge, Massachusetts, formed in 2007.
The band consists of Michael Angelakos (lead vocals, keyboards), Ian Hultquist (keyboards, guitar), Xander Singh (synthesizer, samples), Jeff Apruzzese (bass, synth bass), and Nate Donmoyer (drums).
All of the band members attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, with the exception of Angelakos, who attended Emerson College.
去年喜歡The Teenages或是Vampire Weekend的憤青，你們盼來盼去的日子終於到來。年初來勢洶洶的Merriweather Post Pavillion是不是太過動盪?還是說Bill Callahan太過輕淡，Dan Bromst又太過古怪?既然你還是想要直衝擁抱住憨厚的通俗旋律，卻又不想乖乖擺弄在大眾流行音樂裡，喜歡新名字、舊把戲的孩子們，今年Passion Pit絕對是你們目前的首選。
去年Chunk of Change，也就是Passion Pit的第一張單曲，靠著熱血十足的電子節拍與吼叫，以及通俗的腳本，成功營造出諸如Sleephead這種孩子們絕對會喜歡的無敵單曲，無敵不說，還是朗朗上口。今年他們變本加厲，新專輯Manners除了收錄單曲兩首舊歌，其中繼續衍生瘋狂青春的熱血態度可是毫不猶豫的雙倍化，用幾個樂團譬喻，十一首歌的精巧可愛，裡面Cut Copy般的舞曲氛維依舊、Arcade Fire般的澎湃合音依然、Sigur Ros般的朦朧絢麗延續，沒錯，我們很難聽得出來他們究竟有什麼特別的玩意兒，至少還是得同意，這群宅男樣的死孩子成功吸收前人的身影，兩倍的放大，創作出一個屬於年少輕狂的痛快組曲。
